Apocalipsis 1

Capítulo 1
1 Revelación de Jesucristo, que le fue confiada por Dios para enseñar a sus servidores lo que tiene que suceder pronto. El envió a su Angel para transmitírsela a su servidor Juan.
2 Este atestigua que todo lo que vio es Palabra de Dios y testimonio de Jesucristo.
3 Feliz el que lea, y felices los que escuchen las palabras de esta profecía y tengan en cuenta lo que está escrito en ella, porque el tiempo está cerca.
4 Yo, Juan, escribo a las siete Iglesias de Asia. Llegue a ustedes la gracia y la paz de parte de aquel que es, que era y que vendrá, y de los siete Espíritus que están delante de su trono,
5 y de Jesucristo, el Testigo fiel, el Primero que resucitó de entre los muertos, el Rey de los reyes de la tierra. El nos amó y nos purificó de nuestros pecados, por medio de su sangre,
6 e hizo de nosotros un Reino sacerdotal para Dios, su Padre. ¡A él sea la gloria y el poder por los siglos de los siglos! Amén.
7 El vendrá entre las nubes y todos lo verán, aún aquellos que lo habían traspasado. Por él se golpearán el pecho todas las razas de la tierra. Sí, así será. Amén.
8 Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, dice el Señor Dios, el que es, el que era y el que vendrá, el Todopoderoso.

9 Yo, Juan, hermano de ustedes, con quienes comparto las tribulaciones, el Reino y la espera perseverante en Jesús, estaba exiliado en la isla de Patmos, a causa de la Palabra de Dios y del testimonio de Jesús.
10 El Día del Señor fui arrebatado por el Espíritu y oí detrás de mí una voz fuerte como una trompeta, que decía:
11 «Escribe en un libro lo que ahora vas a ver, y mándalo a las siete iglesias: a Efeso, a Esmirna, a Pérgamo, a Tiatira, a Sardes, a Filadelfia y a Laodicea».
12 Me di vuelta para ver de quién era esa voz que me hablaba, y vi siete candelabros de oro,
13 y en medio, a alguien semejante a, revestido de una larga túnica que estaba ceñida a su pecho con una faja de oro.
14 Su cabeza y sus cabellos tenían la blancura de la lana y de la nieve; sus ojos parecían llamas de fuego;
15 sus pies, bronce fundido en el crisol; y su voz era como el estruendo de grandes cataratas.
16 En su mano derecha tenía siete estrellas; de su boca salía una espada de doble filo; y su rostro era como el sol cuando brilla con toda su fuerza.
17 Al ver esto, caí a sus pies, como muerto, pero él, tocándome con su mano derecha, me dijo: «No temas: yo soy el Primero y el Ultimo, el Viviente.
18 Estuve muerto, pero ahora vivo para siempre y tengo la llave de la Muerte y del Abismo.
19 Escribe lo que has visto, lo que sucede ahora y lo que sucederá en el futuro.
20 El significado misterioso de las siete estrellas que has visto en mi mano y de los siete candelabros de oro es el siguiente: las siete estrellas son los Angeles de las siete Iglesias, y los siete candelabros son las siete Iglesias».

1 Apocalypsis Iesu Christi, quam dedit illi Deus palam facere ser vis suis, quae oportet fieri cito, et significavit mittens per angelum suum servo suo Ioanni,
2 qui testificatus est verbum Dei et testimonium Iesu Christi, quaecumque vidit.
3 Beatus, qui legit et qui audiunt verba prophetiae et servant ea, quae in ea scripta sunt; tempus enim prope est.
4 Ioannes septem ecclesiis, quae sunt in Asia: Gratia vobis et pax ab eo, qui est et qui erat et qui venturus est, et a septem spiritibus, qui in conspectu throni eius sunt,
5 et ab Iesu Christo, qui est testis fidelis, primogenitus mortuorum et princeps regum terrae.
Ei, qui diligit nos et solvit nos a peccatis nostris in sanguine suo
6 et fecit nos regnum, sacerdotes Deo et Patri suo, ipsi gloria et imperium in saecula saeculorum. Amen.
7 Ecce venit cum nubibus, et videbit eum omnis oculus et qui eum pupugerunt, et plangent se super eum omnes tribus terrae. Etiam, amen.
8 Ego sum Alpha et Omega, dicit Dominus Deus, qui est et qui erat et qui venturus est, Omnipotens.

9 Ego Ioannes, frater vester et particeps in tribulatione et regno et patientia in Iesu, fui in insula, quae appellatur Patmos, propter verbum Dei et testimonium Iesu.
10 Fui in spiritu in dominica die et audivi post me vocem magnam tamquam tubae
11 dicentis: “ Quod vides, scribe in libro et mitte septem ecclesiis: Ephesum et Smyrnam et Pergamum et Thyatiram et Sardis et Philadelphiam et Laodiciam ”.
12 Et conversus sum, ut viderem vocem, quae loquebatur mecum; et conversus vidi septem candelabra aurea
13 et in medio candelabrorum quasi Filium hominis, vestitum podere et praecinctum ad mamillas zonam auream;
14 caput autem eius et capilli erant candidi tamquam lana alba, tamquam nix, et oculi eius velut flamma ignis,
15 et pedes eius similes orichalco sicut in camino ardenti, et vox illius tamquam vox aquarum multarum,
16 et habebat in dextera manu sua stellas septem, et de ore eius gladius anceps acutus exibat, et facies eius sicut sol lucet in virtute sua.
17 Et cum vidissem eum, cecidi ad pedes eius tamquam mortuus; et posuit dexteram suam super me dicens: “ Noli timere! Ego sum primus et novissimus,
18 et vivens et fui mortuus et ecce sum vivens in saecula saeculorum et habeo claves mortis et inferni.
19 Scribe ergo, quae vidisti et quae sunt et quae oportet fieri post haec.
20 Mysterium septem stellarum, quas vidisti ad dexteram meam, et septem candelabra aurea: septem stellae, angeli sunt septem ecclesiarum; et candelabra septem, septem ecclesiae sunt.

1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show his servants what must happen soon. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
2 who gives witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ by reporting what he saw.
3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud and blessed are those who listen to this prophetic message and heed what is written in it, for the appointed time is near.
4 John, to the seven churches in Asia: grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne,
5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead and ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,
6 who has made us into a kingdom, priests for his God and Father, to him be glory and power forever (and ever). Amen.
7 Behold, he is coming amid the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. 8 All the peoples of the earth will lament him. Yes. Amen.
9 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty."

10 I, John, your brother, who share with you the distress, the kingdom, and the endurance we have in Jesus, found myself on the island called Patmos because I proclaimed God's word and gave testimony to Jesus.
11 I was caught up in spirit on the Lord's day and heard behind me a voice as loud as a trumpet, which said, "Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea."
12 Then I turned to see whose voice it was that spoke to me, and when I turned, I saw seven gold lampstands
13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, wearing an ankle-length robe, with a gold sash around his chest.
14 The hair of his head was as white as white wool or as snow, and his eyes were like a fiery flame.
15 His feet were like polished brass refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing water.
16 In his right hand he held seven stars. A sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth, and his face shone like the sun at its brightest.
17 When I caught sight of him, I fell down at his feet as though dead. He touched me with his right hand and said, "Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last,
18 the one who lives. Once I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever. I hold the keys to death and the netherworld.
19 Write down, therefore, what you have seen, and what is happening, and what will happen afterwards.
20 This is the secret meaning of the seven stars you saw in my right hand, and of the seven gold lampstands: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

1 Rivelazione di Gesù Cristo che Dio gli diede per render noto ai suoi servi le cose che devono presto accadere, e che egli manifestò inviando il suo angelo al suo servo Giovanni.
2 Questi attesta la parola di Dio e la testimonianza di Gesù Cristo, riferendo ciò che ha visto.
3 Beato chi legge e beati coloro che ascoltano le parole di questa profezia e mettono in pratica le cose che vi sono scritte. Perché il tempo è vicino.
4 Giovanni alle sette Chiese che sono in Asia: grazia a voi e pace da Colui che è, che era e che viene, dai sette spiriti che stanno davanti al suo trono,
5 e da Gesù Cristo, il testimone fedele, il primogenito dei morti e il principe dei re della terra.
A Colui che ci ama e ci ha liberati dai nostri peccati con il suo sangue,
6 che ha fatto di noi un regno di sacerdoti per il suo Dio e Padre, a lui la gloria e la potenza nei secoli dei secoli. Amen.
7 Ecco, viene sulle nubi e ognuno lo vedrà; anche quelli che lo trafissero e tutte le nazioni della terra si batteranno per lui il petto.
Sì, Amen!
8 Io sono l'Alfa e l'Omega, dice il Signore Dio, Colui che è, che era e che viene, l'Onnipotente!

9 Io, Giovanni, vostro fratello e vostro compagno nella tribolazione, nel regno e nella costanza in Gesù, mi trovavo nell'isola chiamata Patmos a causa della parola di Dio e della testimonianza resa a Gesù.
10 Rapito in estasi, nel giorno del Signore, udii dietro di me una voce potente, come di tromba, che diceva:
11 Quello che vedi, scrivilo in un libro e mandalo alle sette Chiese: a Efeso, a Smirne, a Pèrgamo, a Tiàtira, a Sardi, a Filadèlfia e a Laodicèa.
12 Ora, come mi voltai per vedere chi fosse colui che mi parlava, vidi sette candelabri d'oro
13 e in mezzo ai candelabri c'era uno simile a figlio di uomo, con un abito lungo fino ai piedi e cinto al petto con una fascia d'oro.
14 I capelli della testa erano candidi, simili a lana candida, come neve. Aveva gli occhi fiammeggianti come fuoco,
15 i piedi avevano l'aspetto del bronzo splendente purificato nel crogiuolo. La voce era simile al fragore di grandi acque.
16 Nella destra teneva sette stelle, dalla bocca gli usciva una spada affilata a doppio taglio e il suo volto somigliava al sole quando splende in tutta la sua forza.
17 Appena lo vidi, caddi ai suoi piedi come morto. Ma egli, posando su di me la destra, mi disse: Non temere! Io sono il Primo e l'Ultimo
18 e il Vivente. Io ero morto, ma ora vivo per sempre e ho potere sopra la morte e sopra gli inferi.
19 Scrivi dunque le cose che hai visto, quelle che sono e quelle che accadranno dopo.
20 Questo è il senso recondito delle sette stelle che hai visto nella mia destra e dei sette candelabri d'oro, eccolo: le sette stelle sono gli angeli delle sette Chiese e le sette lampade sono le sette Chiese.
